Set Up Cloud Sync
Add a cloud storage directory
- Open Settings (
Cmd+,/Ctrl+,) - Go to Storage Directories
- Click Add Storage Directory
- Choose a folder inside your cloud storage
Recommended folder paths

Set up a second device
- Install NoteCove on the second device
- Install the same cloud storage app
- Wait for the cloud folder to finish syncing
- Open Settings → Storage Directories
- Click Add Storage Directory and select the same cloud folder
NoteCove detects existing sync data and downloads all notes automatically.
Troubleshooting
Sync not working
- Confirm your cloud storage app is running and syncing
- Check the folder has read/write permissions
- Verify your internet connection
- Check Tools → Advanced → Sync Status for diagnostics
Slow sync
- Check that your cloud storage isn’t paused or quota-limited
- On iCloud Drive, right-click the sync folder and verify Keep Downloaded is enabled
- Check network bandwidth
Keep files available offline
Cloud providers may evict local files to save disk space. See Keep data available offline to prevent this.
